The closing exercises of the Brigbam Young college took Dlace this week and wer largely attended and Highly enjoyable. Thursday was field day, when a large number of sports were participated in by instructors and students. The ball game between the faculty and graduates was won by the latter by a score of 5 to 3. Thursday evening the members mem-bers of the graduating class gave their friends an evening of pleasure pleas-ure called "Five Years Hence." It was a most laughable affair, the plot being laid in 190S, when David. Allen was president of the college There were addresses by F. D. Daincs, Ernest Hall and J. V. Morrell, a. paper by Niels P. Nielsen, a recitation by Miss Cynthia Hill, a duet by Miss Julia Campbell and L. P. Nelson, songs by Alonzo Cook and N. S. Hansen, and a German recita- ; : tion by F. . S. Schow. Miss Marian-H-endricks presented the . class banner to the college. The opening prayer was offered by Edwin Miles and the closing prayer pray-er by Heber McKay. It was replete with ex- cellent counsel to the students, pointing clearly the way to higher high-er honors and bright futures. It was indeed a most eloquent effort. Hendricks were unusually good, and showed great care and intelligence in-telligence in the preparation; The violin solo by Prof. Harris was simply grand, and the vocal solo by Prof. Robinson Robin-son was beautifully rendered.
