Show B. Y. COLLEGE YEAR. The Brigham Young College iias had a remarkably successful year. Its attendance reached the high water mark in its history, his-tory, being over 500, and all evi-. dences point to the fact that unusually un-usually rapid prpgress has been made by the students. This should be a source of great satis- j faction to the board of directors, j "whose wise measures have conducted con-ducted to such beneficial results; 4o President Linford, whose whole attention has been lovingly loving-ly devoted to its progress; to the members of the faculty,- who are capable and painstaking in- structors; to the students, who are the beneficiaries of the upward up-ward tendency; and lastlj, though not least, to tbe people who have generously, contributed contribut-ed to the success of this great institution of learning. The college has a high mission among the Latter-day Saints, and is noby 'performing that inission. It teaches theology, in addition to all ordinary branches of education, and its most de termined efforts are aimed to place the papil on a high moral as well as intellectual plane. May it increase in usefulness end power, is the earnest hope of all lovers of education and. prosrress. |
