Show J H Vernons Observe Wedding Anniversary A surprise party was given Saturday evening, Sept. 24, in honor of the 45th wedding anniversary anni-versary of Harold and Mildred Vernon. Thirty-five friends were present pres-ent for the affair, held in the IOOF Hall, and a son and daughter daugh-ter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Weston Vernon of Salt Lake, came down for the occasion. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon have lived in Milford since 1937 when Mr. Vernon was transferred here as section foreman for the U P. Mr. Vernon was born at Rock-port, Rock-port, Summit County, to Joseph and Elizabeth Malin Vernon. Mrs. Vernon was born in Oakley, Oak-ley, Summit County. They were married Sept. 22, 1915, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Three children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Vernon: Stanley, who was killed in an airplane accident ac-cident in Milford; Weston, of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Du-Wayne Du-Wayne (Bonnie) Williams, Milford. Mil-ford. They have six grandchildren. |
