Show LAND MOVING RAPIDLY IN RICHLAND ACRES Nearly one hundred fifty acres cf land sold the first two days of the spring sale on Richland Acres is the record that that new tract of land is making. The parties to whom the sales were made are Jacob R. Fuhri-man Fuhri-man from whom some of Richland Acres was purchased and who is an enthusiastic booster of drainage now; Ezra H. Cooley of Millvillc who bought 57 acres of the very best land along Logan river J C. J. Kcarl and sons who bought 44 acres adjoining ad-joining the 45 acres they bought last December, making one of the best farms to be found in the valley; and Lewis A. McCombs of Logan who bought 22 acres adjoining the land he bought previously. In all the sales total nearly $40,000.00. One of the features of the sale is the readiness with which tracts arc sold, and the necessity of people who have picked out tracts to close up on them before some one who is ready to do business takes advantage of the remarkably easy terms on which the land can be bought. One of the purchasers pur-chasers was offered a liberal bonus for his land. The great demand for pasture and hay land also greatly aids the rapid sale of the land. More people want pasture than anything else. A tract with an excellent pasture pas-ture on brings almost as much money as plow land throughout. Mr. McCombs was the first man to begin plowing. If a few days of sunshine sun-shine will come along now the great tractor the Logan Land and Drainage Drain-age Company Oias purchased will be put to plowing all that laud that will be broken up for crop this year. In this respect, the company desires to interest renters who could handle some extra land. As soon as possible the land will be plowed and harrowed. har-rowed. If by seed time the land is not sold it will be rented on a very liberal basis in order to get as much land under cultivation as possible. Responsible parties arc desired who wilt give proper attention to the land; then when the crop is harvested the renter will have the option to purchase pur-chase by assuming the payments as of April 1st of this year and retaining retain-ing all the crop. The Company feels that this year, of all years, should see as much land put to productive use as it is possible to cultivate. Potatoes, barley, oats and alfalfa can be planted to advantage on most of the land to he plowed. On the meadow lands that can be plowed agricultural people arc urging the company to plant corn for silage. There arc lots of opportunities open to the man who will work on these terms. All but one tract of the $202.00 laud has been sold, and much of the $192.00 land. There arc five tracts with houses and barns on that are now unsold un-sold but which wffl undoubtedly go within the next week, if weather conditions con-ditions are favorable. The roads a-cross a-cross Richland Acres arc in very good condition, considering the very stormy weather of the last winter. Autos traveled across the area, Dragging Drag-ging will be begun immediately so as to put the roads in first class condition. con-dition. People ought not to delay in order to get these very desirable farms on the easiest of payments. Cultivate your Land and avoid |
