Obtainable everywhere. adr. 1 ' To All Citizens of Utah: At this moment of National crisis it behoves every citizen of the land to do all in his power to aid actively in any movement that will-make the Nation better able to bear the burdens bur-dens that wilt be thrust upon it. Citizens Cit-izens of Utah can best serve their country at the present time by actively act-ively supporting the movement for agricultural preparedness in the State. It is imperative that every man, woman, and child do all that is possible to aid in this necessary cause. Organizations are rapidly being formed in every county of Utah for the purpose of increasing our agricultural production by securing a greater yield from loiir present acreage, by adding to our cultivated area, and by increasing our livestock. These organizations will also handle the conservation and preservation of food stuffs, and all materials, and control con-trol the matter of waste on the farm and in the home. These organizations organiza-tions must be supported by every citizen cit-izen of Utah in order that their work may be effective. . , It is advisable that each citizen get in touch with the county agricultural agri-cultural chairman of his county, and find out what lie can do tb aid in this work. This is not a time for hysteria nor for unreasoning alarm, but a time when sober, united action is needed. Sincerely yours, . E. G. Peterson, President, Utah Agricultural College. Fellow Countryman! Our country is at war. Wc all have a part to play in the 'handling of the national crisis. Men arc needed need-ed in the armies and needed badly, but producers who will furnish food or clothing for our armies and those of bur allies, arc heeded just as much. The men on high-producing farms or in well-managed shops; the women in carefully handled homes or factories, fact-ories, can render an equally necessary necess-ary and important service. Increased production and conservation conser-vation of all the necessities of life should be pushed 'with energy. Utah communities should be self-supporting self-supporting and should aim to supply foodstuff in abundance for shipment. Kvery individual should support the committee in charge of this campaign cam-paign and shoulddo his part at home, to meet this national emergency. Very truly yours, John T. Cainc III.
