It Is the purposo to use coarser varieties of grass In manufacture of roughly woven cotton bagging, of which an Immense amount la used In the south, It will mske, It Is claimed, strong, durable and cheap bagging, The finer grass will be woven Into matting, which Is aald to make an excellent aubstltute for Japanese matting. It lakes dyss readily, read-ily, and makes a floor covering as durable as It Is attractive.
