Show Funeral Monday For Hugh S. Rash Hugh Shaw Rash, 64, lifelong , resident of Smithficld where he was a carpenter, died this morning at a local hospital of a heart ailment ail-ment following a long illness. He was born February 12, 1880 in Smithfield, a son of Charles W. and Elizabeth McCracken Rash. He married Leona Miles, December 19, 1904 in Logan. Mr. Rash was noted throughout Cache Valley for his fine singing voice and had sung in ward choirs, with a quartet and was identified with an orchestra for many years. He was a member of the Smith-, Smith-, fiedl First ward. Surviving are his widow, Smith-field, Smith-field, two sons and two daughters Atrilla S. Rash, Smithfield, Mrs. Blanch Brown, Logan; Mrs. Ruth Chugg, Providence 'and Stanley Rash, Hyde Park; 19 grandchildren, grandchild-ren, his foster mother, Mrs. Myrtle Rash, Ogden, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Grace Johnson, Blizz, Idaho; Henry Rash, Rigby, Idaho; Martin Rash j and Mrs. Leona Childs, Ogden; Richard Rash and Mrs. Naomi Holmes, Los Angeles, Cal.; Mrs. Lucille Krauss, Portland, Ore.; I Don, Wesley' and Joseph Rash, serving with the armed forces. Funeral services will be conducted con-ducted Monday at 2 p. m. in the Smithfield First ward .chapel by Bishop M. T. Van Orden. Friends may call at the W. Loyal Hall mortuary in Logan Sunday from 7 to 9 p. m. and Monday at the family home in Smithfield from 10 a. m. until time of services. Burial will be in the family plot of the Smithfield cemetery. |
