Show Mrs. LeOra Jenkins entertained Wednesday afternoon with a party for her son Gordon on his seventh birthday ' anniversary. The following follow-ing guests were Included, Val Jay Benson, Baby Jenkins, Steve and i Jimmie Dowdle, Noel Cooley, Prank Christiansen, Jerry Jenkins and Deverl and Arden Anderson. A delicious luncheon was served. Mrs. VeNeal Jenkins entertained the Amecia club Friday at her home. A nice luncheon was served from small tables followed by bridge. Mrs. Charlotte Jenkins won high score. Mrs. Sarah Anderson was awarded honor prize and Arba Darden guest prize. There were eight club members and guests present. A no-host party honoring M. Dale Rigby, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Rigby and Murray Rigby, son , of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Rigby, who are leaving for the armed forces, given by relatives and was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walt Cooley, Thursday evening. Out of town guests present were Mrs. Rudy Van Campen and son Kent, Miss Yvonne and Melene Fabrici-us Fabrici-us and Beth Rigby of Ogden, Mrs. Lawrence Cantwell and family of Smithfield. , NEWTON Mrs. Edris Hansen entertained the young married people club at her home Wednesday evening. Professor and Mrs. D. W. Pittman furnished the entertainment. He spoke on 'agriculture in Persia and showed slides of the country and Mrs. Pittman exhibited some beautiful relics and art work she had brought from there. The entire en-tire evening was taken up in a discuision of Persia. A delicious luncheon was served to 27 guests. Mr. Reuben Hansen accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Pittman to Newton. Mrs. Meda Parker entertained with a chicken dinner Monday evening honoring her son Duane. who left Tuesday morning to join the forces of tho army. Covers were laid for 22 guests. The remainder re-mainder of the evening was spent in social chat. |
