Show RELEASED FROM LONG ACTIVITY D. H. Morris and Edward R. Frei, who were released from the St. George stake high council coun-cil at the recent conference, have remarkable records for length of stake activity. Judge Morris has been connected with some branch of chuTch work for the past 44 years, and Mr. Frei has been in the bishopric and in stake work for 37 years. Judge Morris started his stake activity in 1888 as president of the Y. M. M. I. A., when the St. George stake comprised what is now Moapa and Zion Park stakes. He served for 25 years in that capacity, and in the early days a month was required for him to make a visit to all the wards. Neither of the two resigned from the high council, but both had given the stake presidency assurance they would be willing for younger men to fill thsir places. |
