Show INVESTIGATOR SEEKS DATA ON C0UN1YJELIEF Representative of Governor's Advisory Committee Here Satqrday Assisting County and Local City Officials Theodore L. Holman, of Salt Lake City, member of Governor George H. Dern's advisory committee com-mittee for the apportionment of Reconstruction Finance Corporation Corpora-tion funds allotted to Utah, spent Saturday in St. George, assisting assist-ing the county and cities and towns in outlining projects to be worked and ascertaining the amount of direct relief needed. A meeting was heild Saturday evening in the court house with the following represented: Washington Wash-ington county Commissioner H. T. Atkin, County Clerk John T. Woodbury, County Engineer W. W. Cannon and D. H. Morris; Sit. George . Mayor John T. Woodbury, Jos. W. Judd and W. B. Math'is; Hurricane David Hirschi, Amos Workman, W. E. Woodbury, William Ruesch, F. P. Johnson and Andrew J. Isom; Leeds. (Edward McMull'in and Carl Caldwell. Mr. Holman explained to the group the necessary steps in making application for relierf money, and advised the St. George, Hurricane and Leeds committees that applications for self-liquidating project funds should be made to the central committee at Washington, D. C. The problem, of direct relief, which is of ' particular interest to county officials, was discussed, discus-sed, and suggestions made by Mr. Holman for 'filing results of unemployment surveys on approved ap-proved form blanks. |
