In its complaint, filed in U.S. District Court of Utah, the commission alleged that Marmon Group Inc., dba Airdox Company had denied equal pay for equal work to three women and Long ed job positions. (Marmon Group Inc. was later dismissed as a named defendant.) Under the terms of the consent decree, Long Airdox Company will pay the charging parties, Ann Seevers, $13,006.45, Skerl Bassett, pay in settlement of their Title VII and Equal Pay Act claims. Long Airdox is also perand Trudy $7,871.79, in back manently enjoined: (1) from engaging in any employment practice that discriminates on the basis of sex, including, the selection of individuals for promotions; (2) from engaging in any employment practice that discriminates on the basis of sex and the Equal Pay Act, including, in the payment of wages for equal work on jobs, the performance of which requires equal skill, effort, and responsibility, and which are similar under performed working condition; and (3) from retaliating against any person who files a charge with the EEOC, and-o- r assists in an investigation or proceeding under Title VII. The consent decree is for three years. According to C. Booth Wallentine, coalition chairman, there are now 14 major business, industry, agricutlure, government and water management groups in the mutiple use coalition. The new members are the Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, Utah Water Users Association, Utah Association of Conservation Districts and the Utah-Idah- o Farmers Union.
