Show District Rally Results m I le Wayne Swensen. Troop 6 and troop 17 tied for first place in the Liberty District Rally held Thursday afternoon, May 8 at Liberty Park. A signaling signal-ing contest will be conducted at the next court of honor, May 20, with these two troops competing, the winner to receive first prize of a troop first aid kit and the other will be given second prize of a pancake griddle. Third place winner will be awarded a large frying skillet. Over one hundred and fifty boys from the nine troops of the district participating participat-ing in the rally which was directed direct-ed by John Denos, Earl Allen, Don Dillingham and Roy Green-sides. EVents and winners were as follows: Skin-the snake, first place, 19, second 17, fire building, 65, first, 6 second, first aid relay, 6 first, 17 second, eight-leg race 17 first, 52 second, scout pace, 52 first, 17 second. Scouters competed com-peted in a sack race and Grant Husbands of 19 won and was presented pre-sented with an individual mess kit. Another rally has been planed plan-ed for the summer and early fall. |
