Show Defense Advertising Distributed On Saturday May 10, scouts of Salt Lake City covered the business bus-iness district of town with posters pos-ters advertising the new government govern-ment defense bonds. The members of Uinta district, troops 51, 70, 197, 34 and Fremont Fre-mont district troops 38 and 35 met at Boy Scout headquarters at 9: a. m. to receive the posters that they should distribute throughout the business district performing one of their many good-turns to the United States government. The boys distributed ove 2000 posters to most of the stores, office buildings and various var-ious other places through town. There are two types of signs, those that could stand by themselves them-selves and those which must b.i placed against something or be stuck up to the inside of a window. win-dow. One of either type was left with each merchant. Those who lived in the last war will remember the part the scouts played in selling Liberty Bonds. They sold many millions of dollars dol-lars worth and for this some of the troops received prizes and ' among the troops which received ; a flag from President Wilson waaj Troop 51. |
