Show CHASED BY RUSSIANS Japanese Cruisers Closely Pursued in Transit From Italy. VICTORIA, B. C, March 11. The Northern Pacific liner Olympla arrived from Yokohama yesterday. Among her passengers was Capt. Hill, who took the Japanese cruiser Nlsshln from Genoa to Yokohama, and he gives a most interesting in-teresting account of the trip, which In-eluded In-eluded a race with the Russian cruiser Aurora in the Red sea, and the escape . of the Nlsshln and Kasuga from possible pos-sible capture by the Russian squadron. Capt. Hill says that when the two Japanese cruisers got through the Sues ' canal they were closely followed by the Russian squadron, which was evidently evident-ly trying hard to keep In close touch with them. The Aurora, which enjoys the reputation repu-tation of. being one of the fastest vessels ves-sels afloat, attempted to overhaul! two cruisers, which, however, pupon more steam and ran away fromy her with the greatest ease. -: From the firing up done on the Aurora it was evident that she meant business.
