Show 'sugar rationing will continue through summer Housewives still have ample time in which to apply for and receive re-ceive their certificates for the purchase pur-chase of sugar for canning purposes, pur-poses, C. I. Goff, head of the local rationing board said this week. The special certificates will be available throughout the summer and there is no need to rush to obtain them for fear of 'losing out.' Already many housewives have registered their needs with the ration ra-tion office and some have received receiv-ed their entire summer's supply, thus avoiding other trips to the rationing office. This method is favored by the boards who may have to set aside special days each week to 'care for the sugar registration. regis-tration. Name and address of the family unit applying for' the ration. 2. The name and ration book number of each member of the family unit represented by the application. ap-plication. 3. A statement showing (a) the amount of sugar on hand at the present, and (b) the amount to be used for canning. 4. A statement showing (a) the number of quarts of fruit canned In 1941, (b) the number of quarts consumed since the 1941 canning 'season, (c) the number of quarts of fruit on hand at present, and (d) the number of quarts to be canned can-ned with the sugar for which the application is made. |
