A storm savoring of a blizzard which reached this city last evening and raged with unremitting . force during the greater - part of the night, still prevails today, but in a somewhat mildtr degree. During Dur-ing the night snow fell to a depth of six Inches and the temperature dropped to 20 degrees at 8 o'clock this morning. Railroad and street railway traffic is badly handicapped and telegraph and t telephone service is crippled. This is municipal election day throughout the . State and the storm has lessened .the Vote. BOSTON, Feb. 17. The worst snowstorm snow-storm of the winter thus far prevailed here last night. Snow continued to fall this forenoon. Railroad and street car service was badly hampered and shipping ship-ping was effectually tied up. Several vessels which left port last night are supposed to have experienced' a hard night.
