Show OPPOSED BY MR. PLATT Connecticut Senator Does Not Favor Littleflcld Anti-Trust Bill. WASHINGTON. Feb. 17. Soon after the Senate met today Mr. Hoar from the Committee on Judiciary reported the Llttlefield anti-trust bill as amended. Mr. riatt of Connecticut of the committee commit-tee stated It was not a unanimous report re-port and that he was opposed to the measure. He said a large proportion of the bill has been wisely treated In legislation legis-lation recently enacted. Concerning the new features, there were, he said, unconstitutional un-constitutional provisions in them. Even if they were within the constitutionality constitution-ality of Congress they are mischievous and will work great injustice to the business Interests of the United States. |
