Show Well Known Area Resident Dies in Phoenix Word was received in Moab Tuesday of the death of well known Grand County resident, resi-dent, Katherine Cunningham Moore, 76, in Phoenix, Ariz., on March 17. Mrs. Moore had Ibeen m ill health for about six months. Katherine Jones was born in Walsenburg, Colo., on Feb. 26, 1893, where she spent her childhood anci attended local schools. She attended Colorado Colo-rado State Teachers College in Greely, wher;e she graduated gradu-ated in 1913. She taught schoo' in Thompson, Thomp-son, where she met and married mar-ried Wallace A. Cunningham an 1917. In 1926, Mr. land Mrs. Cunningham bought and operated op-erated a cattle ranoh north of Cisco in the Book Cliffs, where she resided until her death. Mr. Cunningham preceded pre-ceded her in death in 1362. She was married to Roy-Moore Roy-Moore in 1963. He survives. Mrs. Moore was a member of the Methodist Church, a charter member of the Pro-, igressive Women's . Club o'fi 'Fruita, Colo., and a member of the Grand Junction Garden Club. She is survived by one son, William Cunningham of Cisco, Cis-co, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Martin Mar-tin Mortuary in Grand Junction. |
