Show KILLING OF Twenty-six Malcontents Are Cut Down by Second Sec-ond Cavalry Manila, P. I, Jan. 11. Twenty-six moros were killed today whilo they were attempting to ambush American Ameri-can troops on the Island of Jolo. In fighting, Lieut. McGee of thc Second cavalry was shot twice and one American soldier was wounded. Brig. Gen. John J. Pershing, commander com-mander of the department of the Mindanao, in a conversation, declared that he believed this fight would mark the end of armed opposition of the Moros to American rule in tho Island of Jolo and more especially so in regard to tho resistance against thc order for general disarmament of thc natives.
