Incensed at what is termed a libel on Utah, threatening tho material development of the entire state, the Salt Lake Commercial club and the Utah Development De-velopment league a esterday set In motion mo-tion all their influence towards the suppiession of moving picture films now being circulated about the country, coun-try, purporting to bo a representation of tho Mountain Meadows massacre. Telegrams were dispatched last night to the Patho Frores concern at Boundbrook, N J , demanding the immediate im-mediate withdrawal of tho films. Tf these aro not heeded, the Utah congressional con-gressional delegation at Washington will be asked to take up tho matter and tho national film censorship bureau bu-reau will bo appealed to. Another telegram was dispatched to Frank Wiggins, secretary of the Los Angeles chamber of commerce, asking him to uso that organization's influence to the suppression of: the films in that section. It is in Los Angeles and surrounding surround-ing California towns that the films have made their appearance within the last week or two and have created cre-ated a widespread sensat'on.
