Show DYNAMITE LEADERS Sensational Disclosure at the Trial of Parks in Los Angeles Los Angeles, Jan. 1L "Connors told me that Qunrey Misner, himself, Bender, Maple and Charles Stevens planned to 'dynamite the Hall of Records, Rec-ords, and that ho, with Bender and Maplo, were told to do thc work." This statement by Mansell Parks was today's contribution by tho state to the sensations of the trial of Bert Connors, charged with conspiracy to destroy the county building. j This declaration of Parks, made on re-direct examination at tne morning morn-ing session of court, was elicited by Deputy District Attorney Horton, who said j'esterday he expected to connect nianv union 'labor leaders with tho alleged plot to dostroy the Hall of Records., Gunrey is tho man whoso name was brought In connection with tho lotter introduced, photographically, in evidence yesterday, in which Connors Con-nors asked for monev with which to get out of thc country. The Misner named by Parks Is E. A. Misner. an official of the organized orga-nized mechanics who walked out of the Harriman railroad shops last year Stevens' first name Is Charles. He Is now serving a two-year term in San Quentln for having beaten - a strikebreaker employed by tho Llewellyn Llew-ellyn Iron "Works after thc union men struck Parks declared that these men were on the Iron Workers' strike committee, and that Connors' Information Infor-mation was given to him on May 1, when he met the prisoner on the way to Needles. Parks also brought the namo of J. E Tlmmons. local chief of the Structural Struc-tural Iron Workers' union, into thc case todav. Ho said that when he delivered thc letter from Conners to Gunrey, asking for more "get away" mono, Tiinmons was with Gunrey. Next day Parks said he saw Gunre-again Gunre-again and the latter told him to tell Connors he (Gunrey) would havo to see Tlmmons about It. Tlmmons, Parks added, was out of town at the lime and then Gunrey, ho said, told him he would have to see Misner or E J. Frodorlcks, president of the Los Angeles Labor council. i |
