State advisor Gary Abraham said the only other student in the state to have accomplished this feat in the past five years was Conne Ray, another Fredonia student! LaWanda is a senior, and competed in retail merchandising master employee. This was her first year in DECA, and received an impressive 4th place. Patrice is a Fredonia High senior from Moccasin. She placed 2nd overall in advertising, and hopes to major in business. In her event, she explained a managers plan for orienting new employees, and sold coupon books. She hopes to major in business, with an emphasis on marketing. In her competition, she had to negotiate the sponsorship of a team through advertising. This has helped me be more professional in my life. FHA Spring Fash- ion Show at Valley By Stacey Heaton The Valley High School FHA held their annual spring fashion show and installation of new officers on Wednesday, April 5. Traditionally, the junior girls model their prom dresses, and other members of the community are invited to model their special creations. The fashion show was held amid the prom decorations. Travis is a senior who took 2nd place overall in his entrepreneurship competition. He is interested in cartoon artistry for a career. In competition, Travis was given the challenge of starting a business, and going to the loan officer for financing.
