Show Lindon Steelers Victorious Last Saturday Against P.G. Eagles Because of inclement weather weath-er conditions during the weekend week-end of Sept. 21, the Junior League football games were rescheduled re-scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 25 with the regular schedule being resumed on Saturday, Sept. 28. Last Wednesday, the Lindon Steelers were caught off guard and the A.F. Browns scored 21 points in the second quarter to help themselves to a 34 to 6 victory over the Steelers. The A.F. Bears took the measure mea-sure of the A.F. Colts 19-0 and the Lehi Giants were not even threatened as they defeated the Alpine Rams 35-7. The P.G. Eagles looked as though they were going to run away from the Lehi Packers, leading 14-0 at the end of the first quarter. But the Packers held on and started chipping away at the Eagle lead and when the game ended it was a 14-14 tie. On Saturday, Sept. 28 at P.G. the Lehi Packers kept their momentum going and outscor-ed outscor-ed the Alpine Rams 19-7. The Lehi Giants scored 26 points in the final 3 minutes of the game to defeat the A.F. Bears, 32-6. The A.F. Browns kept their record unblemished by downing down-ing the A.F. Colts 21-0. In the feature game of the day the Lindon Steelers made their vow, of not playing another an-other bad game, good, by scoring scor-ing a 14-0 win over the P.G. Eagles. The Steeler defensive line played a great game. They had the Eagles in a hole most of the day. Tom Walker scored one of the touchdowns on a 4-yard plunge and the other came on a bad snap from center, and rolled into the end zone where about 6 of the Steelers recovered recov-ered for the T.D. This week's schedule will be at American Fork. At 10 a.m. Saturday morning, the undefeated unde-feated A.F. Browns host the undefeated Lehi Giants. This will be the game to decide undisputed un-disputed possession of first place in the league. The Giants will be a 1-point favorite. At 11:15 a.m. the A.F. Colts host the P.G. Eagles. The Eagles should win going away. At 12:30 p.m. the Lehi Packers Pack-ers looking like the Packers of the past, will meet the Lindon Steelers. This should be a real good game. The Steelers are 6-point favorites. The final game will pit the Alpine Rams and A.F. Bears. The Bears should rebound after af-ter last week's loss to win easily.
