Show LINDON NEWS Mr. and Mrs. Nick Zupan recently received word from their son Raymon, that he has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Sgt. Zupan is stationed station-ed at Travis Air Force Base with the Air Depot Squadron. Ron Brown has recently recently re-cently returned from spending two week in Denver, Colorado, where he attended a "Planning and Job Documents" school for for the Mountain States Telephone Tele-phone Company. Weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmon Christ-ensen Christ-ensen were their son and his family, Mr. and Mrs. LaVoy Chistensen and son Kenneth of Bountiful. Mr. and Mrs. Dell Ford are being visited by Mrs. Ford's brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Despain and family from Lawndale, California. The Despains will attend the LDS Conference in Salt Lake City. Lindon Second Ward Primary held at the church on October 3 at 7 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Brandt had as Sunday guests, Mr. and Mrs. Nad Marshall from Phoe-nid, Phoe-nid, Arizona. They were formally form-ally from Pleasant Grove. Reed Orton has had the misfortune mis-fortune of fracturing a leg and spending a few days at Utah Valley Hospital. Lindon Wards Relief Society held its opening meeting for the coming year on Oct. 2 at 10 a.m. in the church house. A lesson, program and light refreshments were on the agenda. Mr. and Mrs. Royce Walker & children from Long Beach, California, are here visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Orvil Davis Da-vis and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Walker and other relatives. Mrs. Pauline Bird is in California Cali-fornia with her husband, Pfc Bill Bird. Pfc Bird is stationed at Camp Pendleton in the Marine Mar-ine Corps. Mrs. Bird will remain re-main there for approximately two months, or until her husband hus-band receives further orders. |
