Show Tasinriugij ii Eur Unas THERAPY FOR HEALING Engineering plus medicine medi-cine have combined ir. a new technology in rehabilitation rehabili-tation and healing. The new technique is known as Fluidotherapy . Through the simultaneous application of heat, massage, levitation, stimulation and pressure oscillations, it is used for treatment of pain, range of motion, circulation, treatment of open or closed wounds and to ease the effects ef-fects of edema. Through mechanical and thermal stimulation of the skin, counter-irritation is produced which modulates sensory input, thus blocking block-ing pain perception and re sponse. It has been found useful following injuries to tissue or from contusion, pain due to degenerative, rheumatic tissue alterations, altera-tions, overstrain and other ' problems. Restricted range of motion mo-tion due to fractures, reconstructive recon-structive surgery, sports injuries in-juries and arthritis respond to Fluidotherapy. Vascular insufficiency and post-operative muscle, tendon and nerve repair also benefit. The technique has been developed by Fluidotherapy Corporation, an affiliate of Intermedics Inc. of Freeport, Texas. |
