Show UTAH FARMERS' GO TO LOGAN FOR BIG MEET The fifth annual farmers encampment encamp-ment will be held at the U. A. C. beginning nt 6 pt m. Moudny, July 20, and continuing until noon Thursday Thurs-day July 23. The primary nim of the Utah Agricultural college is to build a greater citizenship in the Rocky mountain west. To accomplish this aim many great movements are undertaken un-dertaken each year which, though they fail to pay their way financially, financial-ly, are of great value in community commun-ity building. The encampment provides a very comprehensive course of instruction for farmers and housewives. Throughout the day departmental work is conducted. A variety of lectures and demonstrations dealing with farming life and rural problems prob-lems are conducted by U. A. C. faculty fac-ulty members in eo-operation with the summer school visiting faculty. A delightful -program for recreation recrea-tion is being planned by Joseph It. Jenson who is to have charge of this work. Dances, movies, band concerts con-certs and many lively games are offered, of-fered, nil without cost to the visitors. vis-itors. Teams are organized by the various counties to participate in horseshoe pitching contests. A silver sil-ver cup is given to the winner by The ytnh Farmer. Weber county took this cup last year and will bring it to the A. C. this year for the competion. |
