Show VOLUNTEERS FILL COUNTY QUOTA 1NU. S. FORCES Franklin county's first conscrip lion enrollees in the U. S. army left here Wednesday evening en route to Boise for induction. All mree wera volunteers. They were Nathan Maughan Cas-person, Cas-person, Quentin Rasmas Casperson, and William Taylor Bingham. Idaho has been asked to furnish 710 more men by February 17 and o( that number this) county's quota 'ill be 15. Sufficient volunteers lave offered1 to enlist to fill the fluota however. Following are boys who have en-Usted en-Usted in the armed forces recently: Roland Carlson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Carlson, enlisted in the S. Navy and is awaiting his transportation; Clarence Merrill, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Merrill, enlisted in U. S. Coast Guard and Is awaiting transportation; Preston Morrison, son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Morrison, enlisted in U. S. Navy at San Francisco; and Frank Mc-Wiorter, Mc-Wiorter, son of Mrs. Fay McWhor-,er, McWhor-,er, is awaiting entry into the Pound, school of aviation in Salt uute City. |
