She was on the Super Kids Drill and Flag team and ran for Miss Jr. Drill USA and received fourth runner-u-p in the nation for her age group. OTHER cheerleaders are Charlynn Cottle, Roxy Rios, Valerie Giffin, all ninth graders, and Kris Bird and Sheila Trujillo, eighth graders. The cheerleaders are selling popcorn and other snack foods for a fundraising project. They held a car wash last week. THE FIRST year Spanish students in Mrs. Snyders Spanish class made pinatas. They had a contest for the best looking ones. She is a volunteer for the Heart Association drive and the Hill AFB Thrift Shop. She is the organist at the Hill -- newpaper.
