S "With 9.908,-372 9.908,-372 vales of cotton of the growth of 1911 ginned prior to Novcber 1, as announced today by the census bureau, the promised record-breaTdng cotton cot-ton crop of this season is fast being made ready for manufacture. The amount ginned to Nov. 1, exceeds ex-ceeds by 1,777,000 bales that ginned in 1908, the previous record. It also is greater han the ginning to November Novem-ber 1 1 of apy year, being about 200,000 bales more than that ginned to ehat date In 1904. the record year. This would indicate that the crop was at least two weeks earlier in maturing and reaching tho gins. Calculations of tho year's total crop, based on tho ginning reports, therefore, would be more accurate it figured on, the Nov 14 reports of other years'. In previous record years about 70 per cent of the total crop has been ginned to that date aud a rough estimate of this your's crop might be placed at a minimum of 14,000,-000 14,000,-000 bales.
