Show Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nelson are now back home after a three-week three-week vacation in California where they divided their time with their son ElRoy and family fam-ily in Palo Alto and their son McKay and family In Oakland. The Nelsons were pleased to become be-come acquainted with a new grandson, Eric, whom they hadn't had-n't seen before going to visit with the ElRoy Nelsons. Guest of Mrs. Gwen Sherratt who were here for the farewell testimonial for Elder Reid Sherratt Sher-ratt included Mrs. Voy (ReVeau) Whitmore of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wyatt and sons Rhett and Craig of California. Califor-nia. Mrs. Whitmore spent Saturday Satur-day until Tuesday while Mrs. Wyatt and children were here for a week before Mr. Wyatt arrived Saturday. The Wyatt family also al-so returned to their home Tues- day. Following the farewell testimonial tes-timonial Elder Sherratt was honored hon-ored guest at a social affair at his mother's home. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine J. Watkins enjoyed a visit from Mr. Watkins' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Watkins and their son Richard of Ogden. After spending the week end here the Ogden couple returned re-turned with their grandson, Kirk, who will visit with them in northern Utah for several weeks, i Elsie Seegmiller was hostess at a Wednesday night pinochle session. ses-sion. In addition to eight members mem-bers of the group attended, Mrs. Seegmiller welcomed Belva Hey-borne Hey-borne as a guest. Prizes were awarded to Mildred Thompson, Leon a Miller, Afton Hartman and Belva Heyborne. For the past two weeks, Mrs. Thomas Giles of Salt Lake City has been a guest of her son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. L. V. Broadbent and family. Mrs. Giles returned home Tuesday of this week. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Carter and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Carter accompanied accom-panied out-of-town friends on a business and vacation trip to San Francisco. The couples left Sunday Sun-day and will return this week end. |
