Show I uu Boy Scoots and Dads Take Overnight Mike Boy Scout Troop No. 23 held a! camp meeting at their outdoor nicotine nicot-ine place, Monroe avenue and Thirty-third Thirty-third street, last night, under the supervision su-pervision of Scoutmaster George A. . Borgstrom. They were accompanied liy their parents for whom the boys prepared luncheon. Members of the Beehive girls were also included In the party. I The camp meeting was openod by the singing of a number of songs, in-; eluding "Dear Old Dad," "Scoutln' " and "The Wild Man From Borneo." Alton Hussy told the company "Why I Am a Scout." M. C. Woods told of why ho endorsed tho scout movement move-ment and "When I Was a Boy" was the subject of a talk by Ben. F. Toller and "How a Scout Can Help His Mother" Mo-ther" was discussed by Mrs. W. O. Ridges, Mrs. P. A. Anderson .and Mrs. Hazel Pace. 'Leisure Hours, Camps and Hikes" was the subject given by Scoutmaster Bergstrom. During tho meeting Thomas Cromp-ton, Cromp-ton, was given the Tenderfoot badge and second-class badges wore given to George James and Walter Crozcc. The camp fire was lit, the big feed enjoyed en-joyed and the camp was broken up after 3lnglng "Goodnight, Ladles." no |
