Show Milford CCC Notes (By Hollie E. Tolar) ' Philip Bernard Giber, first lieutenant lieu-tenant of the medical reserves, arrived at this cam) Saturday. A native of Youngtown, Ohio, Lieutenant Lieu-tenant Giber accompanied a troop from West Virginia to the Ninth corps and was stationed at Fort Douglas temporarily. From there he was transferred to ICompany 469, Milford. We 'all greet the new doctor and hope he likes to stay at his new home. Thirty-one Mississippi men who were stationed at a conditioning camp at Camp Beauregard, Louisiana, Lou-isiana, awoke in their coach in Milford at about 6:15 a.m. Sunday, Sun-day, October 23. These men, tired and' weary from their long journey, were glad that they had arrived at their destination. Monday morning at 2:30 the company received 71 more new men who arrived from Fort Benning, Georgia. Three of these men were from the state of Alabama, the remainder from Florida. |
