The students are very enthusiastic about building build-ing a bigger and better one this year. In order to do this, a carnival carni-val will be held November 4. So watch for what's coming in the form of real entertainment: plays, carnival, variety shows, lucky number num-ber games, popular boy and girl contests, and the big dance of the season. Townspeople, join with your students Friday evening, November No-vember 4, in happy play and fun all fcr the purpose of putting over the project of a year-foook for Milford Mil-ford high school during the yeai 1938-39. The faculty nimrods have all been out trying to get some of Esau's game the tender juicy steaks of the wild venison. They too, like the town people, seek to satisfy the lust for the great out-of-doors. Dr. B. K. Farnsworth, high school supervisor, al'ong with Superintendent Wittwer, were visiting our school Tuesday, November No-vember 25. We were happy to have our state supervisor in our midst along with our helpful county superintendent. Take a joy ride along the new north-south highway leading from the Frisco (highway t)o tbe fair grounds and witness how fast the new gym and shop are growing! What a beautiful sight to the north you'll see in that lovely field or grass! The girls even wish they i were boys so they could play football foot-ball next year. The seniors only sigh and say they wish it had been ready for this year. j The play to be presented No-' No-' vember 4 by the dramatic department, depart-ment, in charge of Mr. Blackstock is entitled "On With the Dance" i - Gordon Murdock, one of our former students, writes of the activities going on at the Agricultural Agricul-tural college at Logan in a, letter to Milford high school. We were all glad to hear from Gordon. A number of students are trying try-ing out the new bass fiddle with the hope that they will be able to play this new instrument. Such an instrument should lend greater great-er balance to our orchestra. Mr. Baker is to be congratulated on his interest in trying to make Milford Mil-ford high school' orchestra one of the best. The girls will soon vie for honors in a volleyball tournament to be played during the coming weeks. Watch LaVera Connell, the great star who keeps the girls all guessing guess-ing with her ability! Speech students are working on their essays for Armistice d!a.y, seeking to vie with their fellow students in the annual oration contest, con-test, wherein one boy and one girl will receive special gold awards from the Legion Auxiliary. We appreciate the fine support from the Auxiliary and American Le-gon Le-gon in helping us to observe with appropriate exercises the 20th anniversary an-niversary of the momentous November No-vember 11. 1918. This coming Friday night, Mil-ford's Mil-ford's students will try out, a new informal dance. Every individual will have a partner with the hope that our dances will tend to promote pro-mote better social evenings. The Seniors have selected some yery beautifully designed rings which they are all hoping will soon be here so they can all wear them, indicating that they belong to the class of "39". Cerola Heslington, Dan Gillies and Patsy Mcintosh enjoyed themselves them-selves in Salt Lake during Institute Insti-tute time. Almeda EdVards has (returned from Cedar City, where she hadj been visiting her cousin, Miss Shirley Edwards.
