Show Talking Court House Manti people and South Sanpete people generall who are interested in public affairs are beginning a move in behalf of a new county court house to be erected at the present seat of government. The proposition has so far progressed as to have been brought to the atteniion of the county oomais-sioners, oomais-sioners, as individuals, and it is expected ex-pected that it will be brought before them collectively aud officially soon. The plan provides for a $75-000 building. It provides further that the city of Manti shall furnish 126,000 of that sum, and that it shall have a City Hall within the building. O', if the county prefers tg build on a less expensive ex-pensive scale, Manti will according to the presentplan furnish one thiad of the necessary amount for which it will ask City Hall privelige. It is quite certain that the proposi tion will assume active form soon, and be taken to the commissioners. There it will find all members favorable to a new building, some place, because of tne fact that all agree that the present one does not begin to meet the requirments of 'he eo'inty, with one, Madssn of Gunnison. aggressively aggressive-ly for it now at Manti, and the othei two milling to take some ac'ion. It is doubtful if the move would succeed now, To obtain the necessary neces-sary funds for its erection the county would be compelled to vote bonds and a bond election would probably fail, as it would have a couhtv seat removal attached to it, and its success would mean increased taxes, which the people of thi9 county do not want, as their vote in the recent election emphatically shows.--Mt.
