Show PREVENT FOREST FIRES Ad a.ll-out forest and range fire prevention campaign is now underway throughout the intermountain region. Fires are costly, wiping- out vater shed areas in the forests with resulting erosion and floods, and denuding ranges of valuable valu-able forage. In most cases the fires are the results of carelessness on the part of individuals, and the slogan of the fire prevention campaign is "Vhat man causes, man can prevent." Coo. elation of the public is needed during the campaign. If you are on a fishing trip, or hunting trip, or hiking through the hills, be careful of your cigarette butts, and, be sure your camp fires are out before you leave. A cigarette or match tossed carelessly from a car on the highway may start a fire. We are in a period of war where manpower is limited, where every available resource of a nation is needed. We can serve by seeing that we and others with us obey the rules of fire safety, and also by immediately reporting any blaze that might start on the forest or range lands and aiding in putting it out.
