AT LITERARY CLUB Ladies' Literary club met at the homo of Mrs. G. C. Kilgore Thursday Thurs-day afternoon. Mrs. G. W. States read a paper on "The Fight Against Cancer." This short and educational talk was followed by an Interesting review re-view of the book "The Giant Joshua" written by Maurine Whipple Whip-ple and given l)y Mr:. J. Neff lioolhe. Following the enjoyable after, noon, the hostess served refreshments refresh-ments to the members! and guests. 3RD iWARD PRIMARY HONORS OFFICERS Preston Third ward Primary of--;erL, and teachers held a party or the outgoing officers and teach s ,asr. Wednesday evening at the h-me of Mrs. Ira Taylor, new present pres-ent of the primary. Dinner was served at S o'clock J 27 guests, and an enjoyable eve-.1.11? eve-.1.11? was spent at games. Ciifts were presented to retiring presiding presidency, Mrs. Farrel iiollingsworth Neta Day, Mary Xeeley, and Marjorie Anderson. MRS. POAGE HOSTESS TO BRIDGE GROUP Mrs. Mae Poage was hostess Wednesday afternoon to the Golden Hour club members and one guest f.the club, Mrs. H. B. Sternberg. The four small tables at which the tasty luncheon was served were .harmlngly decorated in the Easter motif. At the afternoon of bridge which followed, Mrs. Alma Evans and Mrs. Sue Merrill were awarded score prizes. ROOK REVIEW TOLD T FINE ARTS CLUB The Fine Arts club met at the home of Mrs. Elmo Keller Monday evening. Featured on the program was an interesting review of the book "Trelawny" by Margaret Armstrong, Arm-strong, given by Mrs. Bruce Wallace. Wal-lace. Billy K. Hurd,, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Wm. Davis, presented two vocal numbers for the enojyment of the group. Miss Joyce Keller, also favored the club with a piano solo. Refreshments were served at the close of the evening to the twenty five members and guests present. n BRIDGE ENJOYED AT SINCLAIR HOME Bridge associates of Mrs. George Sinclair enjoyed an evening of bridge at the Sinclair home Thursday, Thurs-day, ji A delicious luncheon was served to the seven guests at the beginning begin-ning of the evening. Mrs. Jesse Packard was a special guest of the club. Following luncheon, bridge was the diversion with Mrs. Clair Matins and Mrs. Alvin Carlson win ning- score honors. EASTER PROGRAM IS HELD LAST SUNDAY Following the Easter morning musical service at the courthouse reception room by the St. Paul's Interdenominational church, an Easter breakfast was served at the Utah Power company banquet room. BRIDGE CLUB ENJOYS PARTY THURSDAY Mrs. Earl Nelson entertained Thursday afternoon for club associates asso-ciates at her home. Small tables at which the dessert luncheon was served was attractively attractive-ly decorated in the Easter theme. Mrs. Frank Foss and Mrs. Mel Reeves were score winners. Special guests of the club were Mrs. Harvey Bickmore, Mrs. Charles Cutler and Miss Sarah Mattson. Luncheon was served at one large table, beautifully decorated with Easter appointments.
