State Fish and Came Director Direc-tor Owen Y. Morris, suggested today. to-day. The official date for this year's season has been set by the Fish and game Commission as May 25. Trout fishing, however, will be permitted in the follow ing lakes and streams after April 13. Priest Lake, Pond Orielle Lake, Coeur d'Alene Lake and Chatcolet Lake in northern Idaho. The Clarksfork river. Tend Orielle River. Spokane River nnd all tributaries of the Clearwater River to the mouth of the Little N'orth Fork, confluence of the Loch-sa Loch-sa and Selway Rivers, and to the mouth of Castle Creek in the northern north-ern part of the state. In South-Central Idaho, the Magic Mag-ic reservoir, lying between Blaine and Camas Counties, and the outlet down to the second diversion dam opens May 1, 1941. The salmon dam reservoir in Twin Fulls county opens on the same day. Bear Lake in soutneastern Idaho opens to trout fishing on Mav 15 1941. Steelhead and salmon are now running on the Salmon and Clearwater Clear-water river in the north and lower Snake river in the southwest. |
