PRESTON PTA ELECTS NEW OFFICERS AT MEETING HERE 16TH Mrs. Elvin Cutler was elected president of the Preston Parent-Teachers' Parent-Teachers' association at the annual reorganization meeting held Wednesday, Wed-nesday, April 16, at the high school auditorium. Mrs. Newell Stevens was selected vice-president, and Mrs. J. G. Kennard.i secretary-treasurer for the coming year. Prof. Evan B. Murray of the USAC at Logan gave the theme ad dress at the meeting when he discussed dis-cussed "Citizenship and Democracy." Democra-cy." William Craner also reported on the funds received from the sponsorship spon-sorship of the opera "Faust" and the money spent in the purchase of shrubs for landscaping at the school buildings. Presiding at the meeting was Mrs. A. C. Hull, district dis-trict president. Retiring officers are Mrs. J- M. Palmer president; Mrs. C. H. Jenkins, Jen-kins, vice-president and Mrs. J. F. Smith, secretary-teas'urer. ,
