Show I BOOTS AND SADDLE ! ARRANGES TRIPS The ITeston Hoots and Saddle club at their banquet and meeting outlined their summer rides to be taken In the mountains. The schedule sched-ule is as follows: May 11 will be the. first trip and will be taken through the Dry Creek region, which will be a 15 mllo trip through, picturesque country. coun-try. On this trip at the noon stop a saddle will be given away. Juno 22 will be a trip to the Gibson Gib-son Lakes. The ladles will be Invited In-vited on this ride. A hot Dutch oven dinner will be served by the 'committee at the lake. July tho ride will be up Cub River Riv-er canyon over the now Pony Trail to Eloomington lake and down the old Indian! trail. This is a IS mile trip and presents a birdseye view of the valley. The August, ride will be taken through High creek at Richmond over the top to Tony Grove lake and down Smithfield canyon. This ride will be taken in cooperation with the Canter club of Logan, Utah, and it is estimated there will be in the neighborhood of 75 nuers on the trip. AH overnight trip Is planned for September 1 over Mount Sherman i and Soda Peak. The party will i camp out overnight just under I Mount Sherman peak, leaving the next morning through Eight Mile canyon to Soda Peak and Cheat-beck Cheat-beck basin. The Preston club has 50 members mem-bers at present! according to W. H. Bailey, president of the club and from interest shown the member, ship will reach 100 by mid summer. |
