PTSA holds Safe Driving Students of the Springville Spring-ville High School PTSA Service Club conducted a Safe Driving Campaign last week at the high school. Green ribbons signifying their pledge to safety were then tied on car antennas. A police radar gun was also used to clock the speed of drivers in the parking lot at lunch time. There are other famous books involved as well, such as "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," "The Cat in the Hat," and "Green Eggs and Ham." There are a number of leading roles in this year's musical that require exceptionally ex-ceptionally strong singers - excited, energetic people who are outgoing, happy. Lady Red Devil Nicole Pigott SHS STAFF WRITER The Lady Red Devil Soccer Soc-cer Team has gotten off to a great start this season. Oi Tuesday, Sept 5, the Lady Red Devils took on one of their toughest opponents, oppo-nents, Timpview. However, Howev-er, the Timpview offense was no match for our Red Devils. With a fantastic pass from Rachel Fisher to Heather Hatfield, the Lady Red Devils scored and held off the T-Birds for a 1-0 victory vic-tory on their home turf. "Timpview is considered one of the toughest teams in our Region," said Crosby Joyner, varsity forward midfielder. "But they were no match for our strong offense and fantastic defense." de-fense." The JV Lady Red Devil team also had a wonderful game against Timpview. The strong JV team was able to score two goals-by Adrianna Tar in and Sarah McQueen- resulting in a victory, 2-1. "Timpview was a tough team," said Adrianna Tar in. "The tough competition compe-tition brought out the best in our team. Overall, it was one of the best games we have played so far." On Thursday, Sept. 7, our Lady Red Devils had another tough line up, Orem High, on our home field. The assembly ended with the new student council getting sworn in, and the entire student body singing sing-ing the school song.
