Show I CLEVELAND On Sunday, Sept. 12th, a public meeting meet-ing was Ueld to decide on the location of a public park. Several different tracts of land were up for consideration, considera-tion, but after much discussion it was voted to purchase four acres of land (now under cultivation) from Wm. T. Lamph on the bench west of town. School started Monday, Sept. 14, with a full corps of teachers and a large enrollment of students. Misses Emm i Johnson and Ruih Wnimpey have gone to Price to attend the Carbon county high school. A number num-ber of our young people wi 1 attend the E. S. A. the coming winter. Mis? Myrtle Williams has returned from Hiawatha where she has been em ployed. Mrs. May Davis has returned to her ' home in Mohrland, leaving her little son here to attend school. Mr. and Mrs. John Timothy visited in Mohrland last week with their daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Charles Johansen who is the happy mother of a little daughter. Earnest Davis and Miss Olive Oviatt, " two of our most popular young people were quietly married one day last week. We wish themsuccess on their journey of life. Mrs. Jack Coons, of Salt Lake, who has been visiting at the Whimpey home, has returned home. The Young Ladies gave an excellent entertainment last week. The E. A. S. faculty held an interesting interest-ing meeting here Sunday evening. A number of our young people expect to attend the E. S. A. |
