President. Enjoyed parents day very much. The program and lunch was fine. I think it is fine to have parents day. Mrs. Green, P.-T. A. President. Parent Day was a success with 250 mothers and fathers in attendance. A splendid spirit of cooperation was displayed. Mr. Banks. Parents day gives you a chance to get the viewpoint of the parents and you can give them your viewpoint. I think they really enjoyed the Physical Education demonstration. Miss Banner. It gives the parents and teachers a chance to talk things over and get the right understanding instead of misunderstanding. It makes students hand in better work. Mr. Johnson. Parents whose children aren't getting get-ting along very well are the ones who should come, but who don't. Mr. Rogers. It helps the teacher and also the student to know that the par-entst par-entst are interested enough in school to come and see the teachers. Mrs. Carlson. I thought it was very successful day. I was very pleased because the parents came to see how their children chil-dren were progressing. Mr. West. I think the parents enj&yed Parents' Par-ents' day. It helps to bring parents par-ents and teachers closer together. They want to compare their children's chil-dren's work with others. They enjoyed en-joyed being with one another. Miss Walker. The students have recently learned learn-ed that there is great talent among our faculty members. Mr. Banks, Mr. Jensen, and Mr. Simmons as "Zeke," "Gran Pap," and "Abner" with their violin, harmonica, har-monica, and bass fiddle, and their quaint costumes make real "Battle Creek Hillbillies." Myles Harris, the president of the Pleasant' Grove Future Farmers, has announced the committees for the annual banquet to be held in the Pleasant Grove high school March 9th at 7:30 o'clock. Following Follow-ing are the committee members: Tables, Donald Hendrickson, Merrill Mer-rill Beck, Keith Bezzant; dishes, Don Fenton, Ardie Adams; menu; Glade Gillman, Forest Loader, La-Mont La-Mont Blackhurst; program, Morley Keetch, Kenneth Nerdin, Glen Vickland; invitations, Dale Dever-aux, Dever-aux, Myles Harris. Tonight the Vikings are scheduled to meet the invading B. Y. High team in the next to the last game of the season. Last Friday Pleasant Grove was defeated 43-28, when they invaded American Fork. They are now tied with Lehi for second place honors. If the team comes victorious in the last two games, then a tie off game will be played between Lehi and the Vikings. Pep Club girls marched between halves at the Pleasant Grove-American Fork basketball game, played Friday in American Fork's gymnasium. gymnas-ium. The Viqueens marched about in a circle and gave a yell. They then formed an A and gave a yell for American Fork. By reversing they formed a V and sang a Viking song to the tune "Oh, Johnnie, Oh". They ther marched off the floor in an alternate straight line. Rehearsals for the senior class play started the first part of the week. This modern comedy, "Professor "Pro-fessor How Could You?" will be presented March 8th. The purpose of the senior play is to raise funds to put over the class project. Each student has pledged himself to sell at least four tickets. With all the trusty seniors behind this play it will certainly be successful. "Work" has been the object of every one in the Pleasant Grove high school the past week, because its the end of the quarter. Students are making a final effort to finish assignments, and teachers are busy checking papers. The ending of the quarter has many other distinct meanings to some, especially to the seniors. It means that another third of a precious prec-ious year is gone. "The Faculty Ladies Club," is having a party Saturday, at 3:00, at the home of Mrs. Clarence Rollins. The afternoon will be spent in playing play-ing progressive games and a delicious de-licious luncheon will be served. Hostesses will be: Mrs. Joseph Day, Miss Viola West, Miss Ellen Walker, and Mrs. Clarence Rollins. The senior party held last Saturday Satur-day in the Little Gymnasium was enjoyed by everyone. The members danced and then had a scavenger hunt. A box of chocolates was given to Allison Tucker, Wesley Walker, Beth Hooley, Vance Walker for winning the scavenger hunt. Refreshments Re-freshments were served at the home of Joseph Day. The Pleasant Grove Seminary students, who are members of the Second ward, presented a program in the Second ward chapel last Sunday Sun-day evening. The program was as follows: Preliminary Pre-liminary music, Elda Clark; prayer, Beth Beveridge; sacramental music sung by Seminary students; talks by Mary Burns, Evelyn Bush, Lowe Howard, Harvey Christensen, John Atwood, and Hazel Hardman; an instrumental duet, June Proctor and John Hilton; reading, Helen Robinson; Robin-son; vocal solo, Willis Day; closing hymn sung by Seminary students; benediction offered by Lynn Peterson.
