Show Scout District Wins Gold Star For Registration Arrangements are now complete for the Annual Meeting of the Utah National Parks Council, Boy Scouts of America, to be held at Brigham Young University, Saturday evening, eve-ning, March 2, announces the Annual Ann-ual Meeting Committee, Dr. M. W. Merrill, chairman; T. Earl Pardoe, C. J. Hart, and Roy Passey, all of Provo. The Fellowship Dinner, which commences at 6:00, will have a number of special features especially especial-ly interesting to Scouters, under the direction of Master of Ceremonies, Roy Passey. . The business meeting follows at 8:00 in College Hall, with special features of district gold star awards, Scoutmaster key awards, Scouter awards, and silver beaver awards, the latter for the three outstanding out-standing Scouters in the council during the past year. Dr. T. Earl Pardoe is in charge of a special play to be presented on the stage of College Hall. Alpine district will receive the gold star award, according to Edward Ed-ward R. Tuttle, district chairman. Through the efforts of William Chipman, district finance chairman, and Delbert Chipman, chairman of the Boy Scout division, the district has been successful this year in getting all six Scout troops of the district registered, thus qualifying for the gold star award, which will be presented at the annual meeting. The general public is invited and especially all Scouters of every district, dis-trict, which includes districts and troops. Ladies are especially invited. invit-ed. Those who plan to attend the Fellowship Dinner must make their reservations at the Scout office before be-fore February 28. o |
