Show THE COMING FAIR. To the people of the various settlements of this Stake of Zion: The Directors of the C. V. A. & I. I. are desirous of making the coming fair the finest and best ever held in Cache County, and they therefore call upon the people to contribute to this end by bringing as many fine specimens of their crops and other productions as they can. Specimens of our grains crop, one of our chief productions, are especially desired. This class of produce should be better represented than in our fairs heretofore. Fine specimens of horned stock and sheep are desired. This department has not heretofore received the attention from exhibitors at our fairs that it merits. Bring on the best you have. If you have no thoroughbreds, bring natives. Exhibits of ladies' work generally, and of that of Relief Societies particularly, are especially desired. A better display of poultry than has hitherto been shown at our fairs, could easily be made, and is earnestly desired. Articles, goods, etc., designed for exhibition in the Tabernacle basement will be received there on Monday morning, Sept. 18th, and until Wednesday morning, the 20th, at 10 o'clock. Horses, live stock, poultry, etc., will be received on Wednesday, the 20th, until 1 o'clock p. m., and must remain on exhibition until the following evening. Articles sent by rail will be carefully attended to and returned by the Committee with charges paid. The Supervisory committees will please be on hand to receive goods not later than Tuesday morning, the 10th. Samuel Holt, John Jacobs, W. E. Partington. |
