Show HE FIGURED HERE. Last winter a young man named Pomplitz came to Logan and obtained employment for a time as a drug clerk. He did not remain long, and when he did pass away, his creditor were left in doubt which to mourn most his advent or departure. The Salt Lake Herald of Sept. 1st, has this to say of a scrape he has got into. It is not yet judicially certain that he is guilty as implied. The case of George Pomplitz came up for trial yesterday morning, when the evidence adduced being placed under $500 for appearance, and in default to stay behind the bars. By the publication of the case in the Herald, the horse and saddle were obtained by Mr. Wickel, but the parties who bought them did not recognize Pomplitz as one of the persons who sold the articles in question. A new phase of the matter may yet come to light. |
