They were joined by Mr! and Mrs, Vernon Coombs and daughter Penny and son Randy and Mr! and Mrs. Eric Coombs of Salt Lake by Flo Munson Mr. and Mr. Robert (Carrie June Nish) Keller and daughter Karl Lyn and son Mark arrived , Wednesday from Portland and were overnight guests of Mrs. Keller's. parents Mr, and Mrs.' Newel Nish. The two families accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stokes and daughter Jana Ruth have left for a vacation in California. They plan to visit in San Francisco and in Los Angeles and visit Mrs. Nish's sister Mrs. Irene Richards in Inglewood and other relatives in that area. They will also spend sometime in Disneyland. Enroute home they plan to visit Bryce Canyon and. Zions National park in City. ' weekend the southern Utah. Civic club sets tea The annual summer tea of the Brigham City Civic club will be held Saturday, Aug. 31 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the garden of Mrs. Joe Gurrister, North Eighth East. The Laurels group of the Slick Chicks The Six Slick Chicks and the groups Summer Sewers went to Logan canyon last week for two days and two nights. Priesthood Arronic young Womens had a fun activity night last Tuesday. They entertained our honored seniors with a cookout and program at the Box Elder canyon park. Several Mantua families have traveled recently to the Manti pageant. Last weekend the Hal Rasmussens, the Stewart the Steve Saras, Reeves, Delbert Jensen's and the Chet Rasmussens were all there a week ago the Darwin Hailing . 4-- H They had a great time and won some prizes. Dianne Allred won a package of Digel for the Laurel cook prize. Knowlton won a can of bug spray for being die biggest pest. And all of the Six Slick Chicks won a bag of peanuts for being the second nuttiest group. The six Slick Chicks are: Dianne Allred, Tonnya Johnson, Susan Facer, Laurel Knowlton and Yvonne Jeppsen. Their leader is Mary Allred and little Mary Jo best Reunion Enjoying a family reunion over the weekend were Bill and Jane Hoopes and their boys. The Hoopes went to Kamas to the Benson family reunion. This is Jane's mothers grandfathers decendants. Returning with the Hoopes for a few days visit is Janes aunt Loraine Nilsen and her son, Kim, and another . cousin, Charisse Robker. They are all from Crescent City, Calif. Camp out Curtis and Joyce Larsen also went to a family reunion last Thursday through Sunday. They took Kyle and Joyce's nephew and niece, Steven and Michelle Olsen. They camped out In Huntington Canyon and met with the J.H. Leonard family. There was quite a large crowd and really enjoyed the Kyle squirrels and deer he saw there. The Burbanks also visited a former roommate of Beckys in Heber City.
