United Missionary Fellowship serves people all over the world, working to plant independent, local churches for the ministry of the Word of God. A potluck meal is being planned following the service. Faith Community Church We have a great church and Sunday school and wish to invite anyone interested. Sunday school begins at 10 a.m. with very interesting lessons for adults and children., Church services start at 11 a.m. The evening services begin at 7 p.m. On Wednesday evening services begin at 7:30 p.m. For any further information call Brother Curtis Treeloggen, Thot: Seven days without prayer and Bible reading makes one weak. Christian Reormed Temple rites to join couple in marriage Small Business rop horo July. 29 by Flo Munson This week our spotlight falls on Mrs. Ray (Ellerene Atkinson) Udy, one of Plymouths outstanding good cooks. , Ellerene has had lots of practice cooking for a husband, three sons and two daughters, being a substitute on the school lunch program at the Fielding Elementary school and working part time at the Cross Roads cafe in Tremonton. Friendliness radiates from Ellerene as you enter her ' comfortable, attractive home. You feel relaxed around here. . I lived in Samaria, Idaho and attended high school in Malad, she told me. I interrupted my high school senior year in December to get married however, I went on to school after our marriage and graduated with my classmates the following May. Ellerene and Ray lived in Malad, Samaria and Star, Idaho before making their home in Plymouth. Ray is employed at the Utah-Idah- o Sugar company in Garland. Lynn Ray, their oldest son is married and lives with his wife and two children in Garland. Susan, Mrs. Craig Barnes, and her husband and two children live in Brigham City. Paul is employed at Lamb's service station in Plymouth. Jerry, 18, inherited his mothers talent and skill ini cooking and is employed at the Cross Roads cafe as a cook. Ella Rae is 14 and attends Bear River High school. Elierenes hobbies include quilting and crocheting. ' As a family, the Udys enjoy outdoor sports such as camping, fishing, boating and water skiing. They have lots of family parties and have fun attending reunions. Active in church activities Ellerene is currently serving as secretary in APYW and is a Relief Society visiting teacher. She is accomplished in the art of cooking. I enjoy all kinds of cooking," she said. As long as I have the ingredients I will experiment with any recipe. OATMEAL CAKE c. boiling water over 1 c. quick oats, Add 1 cube margarine. Let melt. Beat 2 eggs. Add 1 c. br. sugar, 1 c. white sugar. Combine mixtures together. Add c. flour, 1 tsp. soda, 1 tsp. nutmeg, cinnamon, dash salt, 1 tsp. vanilla. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 min. in dripper. TOPPING: i c. white sugar, c. canned milk, 6 T. melted butter, 1 tsp. vanilla, , 1 c. nuts, 1 c. cocoanut, Heat together until sugar dissolves. Pour on warm cake.
