BECAUSE JENNY was unwilling to ride a small horse, she had to devise her own method of mounting, which she has used since she was four years old. Even now, she is small for her age and her horse, a buckskin colored quarter-horsstands 15.2 hands. So, to get into riding position without using a ladder, she puts her right foot in the keep strap between the front and rear cinches.
