Show Henry Alma Jacobson, 80, Dies At Home Here Thursday Morning, Aug. 8 Henry Alma Jacobson, 80, died at his home Thursday morning at 3 a.m. after a lingering illness of two years. His illness was caused by diabetes and other complications. complica-tions. Funeral services for Mr. Jacob-son Jacob-son will be held in the south ward chapel Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock, under the direction . of Bp. E. S. Gardner of the Pine Valley ward, of which Mr. Jacob-son Jacob-son was a member. Born in Brigham City, Utah, August 22, 1860, he was the second child of five in the family of Peter and Christina Mortenson Jacobson. His parents were converted con-verted to the L.D.S. faith in Copenhagen, Denmark, and came to Utah with one of the historic handcart companies. They settled in the northern part of Utah and came from there to Pine Valley in 1865, where they engaged in farming and stock raising. Henry with his two brothers, James and Hyrum, continued in that occupation. occupa-tion. He was married January 25, 1888. to Caroline C. Jeffery in the St. George L.D.S. Temple. One son was born to them, who preceded pre-ceded his father in death in 1925. Surviving him are his wife, Caroline C. Jacobson, one sister, Christina Jacobson Lloyd and three grandsons, Hogarth, Hugh, and Lindsay Jacobson. |
