Kenneth i Rublee of Los Angek-s, who are j taking a three week vacation trip j through Utah to Yellowstone 'Park and on to Montana, arrived, 'here to stay over night with Mrs.1 Rublee's two sisters. Mrs. Lafe i Ballard and Mrs. J. M. Williams. I Sunday they went on to Kanarra to visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel L. Pollock. Mr. Rublee Rub-lee is manager of the Southern ' California Telephone company. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Engiestead are vacationing in New Yoi k City. They left July 22 and plan to return re-turn on August 18. Keith Hall has been receiving treatments in the Salt Lake City hospital. He returned home on Sunday. Doctor and Mrs. Mclntire are back from their vacation in California., Cali-fornia., i Friday Mr. and Mrs. Archie ! Murphy and daughter, Donna, went to Salt Lake City where they attended the Murphy reunion. re-union. They returned home on Sunday. Mrs. Lisle Godby and two children chil-dren left Friday for Panama and Central America to join her husband hus-band who is employed there. Friends and relatives gave them a farewell party on Thursday. The group went to Berry Springs and had a weinie roast. Mrs. Velma Lawrence' of California Cali-fornia is here visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alma Wright. Mr. and Mrs. Vernal Stratton have moved into their new home. Mrs. George Dodge and three sons of Las Vegas, came up Saturday Sat-urday for a few weeks' stay with Mrs. Dodge's mother, Mrs. Harriet Har-riet E. Lee. Mrs. Paige Knell and infant son, returned Monday from a few days' visit in Parowan with relatives. Corris Gibson is employed in Cedar City at Corry's Lunch stand. .; Friday evening Mr. and Mis. Chauncey Sandberg entertained Mr. and Mrs. Leo Snow of St. George. Leonard Isorii and Lafe Ballard drove two bus Wads of CCC fellows from nearby camps to Grand Canyon where they spent the week end. Warren Wright of SaU Lake City spent the week end here with his wife. Margaret Engiestead returned here Thursday after spending several weeks in Ogden where she has been visiting her grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Toe Clark, and a friend, Margaj et Mason. Mr. and Mrs. John Humphries and family had as their guest on Friday, Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Gushing and Mrs. Andrew Jensen of Salt Lake City. La Meda Bliss, Florence Imlay, Cleone Stratton and Norma Kotch entertained at a surprise party for Eleanor Kotch on her birthday birth-day anniversary. The party was held at the John Humphries home. Mr. and Mrs. Don Hutchins have opened a dress shop here. This is the only strictly clothing shop in Hurricane. Stella Hall, who has been working in Provo since May 25, is back home. Mildred Brown and Glenna Hall arrived here Thursday after several weeks in Salt Lake City. LaGrand and Earl Wood and Blaine Jensen of St. George are guests at the Elmer Gibson home. A number of people from other towns are here working in the peach harvesting. Sterling Isom, who is studying at Hamilton, Calif, in the Army Air Corps, is spending his vacation vaca-tion here with relatives and friends. |
